Brighton Trailblazer

Sunday 29 July 2012

11am start – Falmer Road, Woodingdean, Brighton

£10 UKA – £12 non UKA – £15 on day for all

A trail run situated on the outskirts of Brighton & Hove located in some of the most stunning countryside around. With great views over Lewes and the English Channel every finisher can lap up the views with a drink and cake afterwards.

The race starts and finishes in the park at the corner of Falmer Road and Bexhill Road, Woodingdean where there is free parking or a short walk from the bus stop at the Downs Hotel, Woodingdean. This is served by the number 2 bus service from Brighton city centre.

The race length is just under 10km and is an undulating course which is all trail. The only hill of note is the The Snake, which is a gradual climb that brings you to the finish line.  At this time of the year some of the fields can be in full bloom making some of the tracks only wide enough for single line running, this is only for a short period and the views can be stunning whilst you get you breath back for the next blast of energy.  Also on route you will be passing livestock [fenced in], dew ponds, avenue of trees, chalk grassland and great views of Lewes and the English Channel.

A fun and friendly atmosphere that finishes with cake and a drink, what better way can you spend a Sunday morning/ lunchtime in the Sussex countryside.
