We are pleased to say that we are now open in our new arch next to Brighton Pier. The address of the new arch is Brighton Beach Bikes, 250E Kings Road Arches, Kings Road, Brighton, BN1 1NB. We will be open from 10am to 6pm everyday, with the caveat that we may be closing occasionally if the weather isn’t so good.
For 2014 we will be hiring the Dawes Kingpin Folding bike. These bikes are perfect if you are looking to combine a driving or boating holiday with some cycling or would like a bike for a few days yet are struggling for somewhere to store one. They are also great if you struggle to mount a standard bike, with a low frame they are extremely easy to step through and on to. The Kingpin is also one of the better looking folding bikes you will find also, as seen below.
Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 07917 753794 for more information.

Hiring a bike from the Brighton Sports Company will open parts of the seafront that you may not thought of visiting in the past. From Hove Lagoon and onto Shoreham in the west to the White Cliffs of Rottingdean and beyond in the east, there is a whole range of different areas to visit that are more accessible when riding a bike.
With the Yellowave Beachsports Centre, children’s playground, Grace’s café and adventure golf in the same area it is the perfect area to bring the whole family and enjoy the outdoor activities for the day.

With the luxury of sitting right next to the coastal bike path it is very easy to head off in either an easterly or westerly direction along the south coast. At the Brighton Sports Company we will be able to supply you with specialized maps, provided by Brighton & Hove City Council and numerous ideas on places to eat, drink and have fun. Having worked on Brighton & Hove seafront for nearly twenty years we are well placed to give you all the local knowledge that you need to enjoy your bike to the utmost.
Brighton & Hove seafront has many miles of cycle paths that are free of road traffic. However, the majority of the cycle paths run alongside pedestrian areas and at times there is a reduction in space for cyclists and pedestrians to mix.
In these areas all cyclists should remember that it is a cycle path and not a cycle track so should look to share the area with pedestrians. If a collision occurs with a pedestrian on the cycle path then the cyclist could be held liable. Cyclists should always look to remain on the cycle path but must remember that at cycle path crossing points it is up to the cyclists to stop.
